Zach Bryan took to Instagram earlier today to share an unexpected announcement for an upcoming film titled Motorbreath.

A Glimpse into Motorbreath the Film
At first glance, fans saw the caption Motorbreath and assumed it was a teaser for his unreleased song of the same name. Instead, listeners were greeted by Matthew McConaughey’s unmistakable voice in an audio clip unveiling details about the project.
Motorbreath centers on a group of friends embarking on a cross-country motorcycle adventure while simultaneously putting together their ultimate major-label album.
“This is not a film about a band; this is a film about a boy from Oklahoma. A boy who joined the Navy, with a love of writing,” McConaughey narrates. “That writing connected with people, a lot of people. This film is about a group of best friends taking a two-week motorcycle ride across America, while recording one final major-label album.”
McConaughey continues, “Oh, and the title of the film, you ask? Motorbreath,” he adds after a brief dramatic pause.
Remaining details, including release dates for both the film and album, have yet to be revealed. However, it’s suggested that both may already be completed. McConaughey leads us to believe the film is finished, which would imply that Bryan has also wrapped up his album.
A History of Collaboration
No strangers to collaborating, Bryan and McConaughey have previously teamed up, blending their talents to create unique experiences for fans. Last year, Bryan featured McConaughey in the official music video for ‘Nine Ball.’ Starring as the gambling father Bryan sings about, McConaughey leads his son into a bar, using him to hustle money from the local regulars.
As fans eagerly await more details about Motorbreath, it’s clear that this project marks the final chapter of Bryan’s journey with Warner Records.
