If The Ladies of Country Had Bars...

Nashville’s Broadway is home to many artist-named honky-tonks. Some opened this past year, while others have been slinging drinks for decades. We already have Lainey Wilson’s studded bell bottom bar and Miranda Lambert’s Texas sweetheart saloon Casa Rosa, but what if there were more female inspired bars? Here are some country ladies and what their bars might look like if they decided to open shop in the neon neighborhood.

SHANIA TWAIN

Shania is a force to be reckoned with. Her sense of style and power vocals have carried her far in her career. If she opened a Nashville honky tonk, it would be called “Honey I’m Home”. I can only imagine the future phone calls between husband and wife would go like this…

Husband: “Honey, where are you? It’s been hours!!”

Wife: “Honey, I’m Home!”

Upon doing some research, Shania happens to love peach pie and leopard print. She describes her style as “rock-n-roll cowgirl chic” and that is exactly what the bar would encapsulate. Her decorations would be horseshoes and leopard print wall decor. The most important feature of her bar would have to be the dance floor and stage. There needs to be room for the ladies who “feel like a woman” and “any man of mine” would be required to bust a move in the “Honey I’m Home” bar!

Denim and rhinestones. These two would combine together to create Carrie Underwood’s honky tonk called “Cowboy Casanova”. A great place to “Undo” your bad decisions, Carrie’s bar would be filled with all of her iconic show stopping fits. Since her husband is a professional hockey player, she would make sure to include a sports section, especially for the Okie fans. The bar would be wrapped in fringe with accents of purple and denim bar stools. She loves red wine, so her bar would have to include wine on tap, ready to go for when she makes an appearance!

DOLLY PARTON

Dolly Parton is a fierce sassy queen that has graced country music for decades. She might have an entire amusement park dedicated to her persona, but can you really have too much Dolly? Her bar, called “9 to 5”, would feature her luxurious outfits, wigs and her super high stilettos. Her new collection of wine would be displayed on the top shelf and the bar would have specialty drinks called “Jolene” and “Islands in the Stream”. She also just launched a line of bakery items and a cookbook with her sister Rachel, so her bar would sell her banana pudding and cornbread, along with other smoky mountain inspired items. She also happens to be a huge fan of potatoes, and a baked potato flight is something I’d certainly reach for on a Broadway night.

Bottom line – the world would be a happier place if these three bars existed. Let us know which artists you’d like to see featured on Broadway, or if you have more ideas for these girl powered establishments.
